Consignment tins:
McClelland Stave Aged 35 consignment tins from 2013-14 only 9 tins of this one.
STAVE barrel cubes in each tin! Another neat trick we wont ever see again sadly.
McClelland decided to celebrate their 35th anniversary with an American classic, bourbon. But instead of aging tobacco in the barrel, they aged the barrel in the tobacco. There is a piece of a charred Kentucky Bourbon white oak barrel in each tin imparting its subtle, long-aged whiskey aroma and flavor and soft, mellow character.
For some, McClelland was the epitome of virginia leaf. McClelland was an irreplaceable boutique tobacco manufacturer and had carved its own specific niche into our community. Their secret boutique processing will never be replicated, and these tins will only contiue to go up in value.
A word about consignment ~
To determine vintage tin prices, The Briar Fellowship works with the consignor, and takes into consideration personal knowledge, other estate tin websites, and auction websites to value tins. The Briar Fellowship will never allow consignors to price tins at exorbitant prices seen on some other websites. I try to strike a balance between a fair price for consignors while keeping prices competitive.
